That was a book I saw at Borders the other day. Suprizingly short, and nearly found a place in my collection because of it.
I am still burning through cash for manga. Six volumes yesterday, but I loved them through and through. For one whole night. Fortunately, today is payday.
As for job: meh. It's a job. After last weekend I will be incredibly glad to have my Sunday off again. Today, as was Tuesday, my main concern is the quality of weather. Large storms mean possible power outages, which means me running like headless poultry to restart films. It hasn't happened yet, but I'm certain that someday soon it will.
School is almost out. I had my last lab for chemistry. We played with balloons, which sounds fun until you understand that you're actually modeling sigma atomic bonds under the VSEPR model. Kinda kills the joy, ne?
I'm working on a wicked ass Java project for CS. It'll be big, and I'm starting to doubt my ability, but I'll push on.
I'm starting to understand I don't really like video games anymore. I still think that one of my ideal jobs would be to make one, and believe me when I say I'm not about to abandon all my systems. But I just don't get excited about them anymore. The only games I'm looking forward to are Burnout: Revenge (and the one for PSP) and Soul Caliber 3. And I'm only excited about SC3 because I want to play against my friends in it. Granted, it's not like I've been keeping tabs on the summer's releases, but all the supposed big games have no real draw. Jade Empire left me...erm...jaded. I looked forward to playing it, and when I did it became KOTOR in a new wrapper. Sure, some new features, but it leaves me grasping. I played this game before, is what I think to myself. And then I play Deus Ex: Invisible War and I'm like "Holy Shit, this is KOTOR too. Only in first person." Maybe I'm just not big into RPGs or something. Maybe I need a straight forward game. Of course, I bought Second Sight too and that just doesn't get my motor running at all. I guess my hobbies just change with the years.
And now for some music.
I've had some trouble recently. I don't like the music I'm putting out. It's all piano melodies covered with recycled beat loops. That's why I titled this one the way I did: Shitty Piano. Sure, it sounds OK, but so does everything else that comes out of the formula.
And then I moved on a bit and came up with this: Beat on Crack. Now it's a bass synth instead of a piano, and two beats instead of one. I call it development.
OK, tired now. Nap before work?
